Little Farm – Introduction
You will find Little Farm some 30 kilometres south of Hobart in a pleasant valley near the town of Cygnet where it occupies some 200 hectares of prime land.
It is both a berry and vegetable farm which is run organically (but not certified). The owners proudly say that no herbicides, pesticides, or chemical fertiliser is ever used on their farm.
They have established a production vegetable garden and orchard with around 450 trees including many different varieties of apples and pears.
We are very impressed with the quality of their organic berries such as raspberries and strawberries and vegetables such as fresh garlic, broad beans, globe artichokes, lettuce, carrots, snow peas and baby chard.
Little Farm products can be purchased at the farm gate or at the Huonville Farmers Market on Sundays from 10am to 2pm.
