Cubed Espresso Bar is a delightful place to enjoy a very good coffee while taking in the spectacular views over Eaglehawk Neck at the entrance to the Tasman Peninsula.

The venue is essentially a lovingly restored and carefully re-designed caravan parked on the side of the road next to the lookout on Pirates Bay Drive.
The caravan is solar-powered by the large panel on the roof and the use of an EasySolar inverter to provide the flow of power to the equipment inside.

They make their own baked goods and source their beans from South Roast Coffee a tiny business on the Tasman Peninsula that roasts their own beans which are sourced from small producers.
On our visit we tried a blend that used beans from Brazil, Indonesia and Costa Rica. This produced a very smooth, fruity brew with definite chocolate overtones. The other was a single origin from Indonesia where some very high quality beans are now being produced. This one had an appealing slight bitterness at the end which was balanced by the sweetness and the fruit flavours.

They even provide some tables and chairs for enjoying the coffee and the view.
Check their Facebook page or Web site before heading down here because they will probably take a break during the winter.
This is a great addition to the Tasman Peninsula area.
