South Roast Coffee first came to our attention through Cubed Espresso Bar, the idiosyncratic coffee bar-in-a-caravan that is stationed above Eaglehawk Neck in Tasmania’s south.
On our last visit there we noticed that the coffee beans were roasted and supplied by South Roast Coffee a roaster that we had never heard anything about.
More recently, they have been attending the Farm Gate Market in Hobart on Sunday morning, so we have been able to buy and try their beans.
We were impressed that when we asked if any of their beans were naturally processed there was not even the slightest hesitation in them pointing out which of their offerings were natural and which were processed conventionally.
The nicely packaged beans come in a resealable bag shown below and the blend that we have tried were roasted to the right level and were perfect for the filtered coffee that we prepare.
We hope to provide more information about this roastery in the coming weeks.
