Paradise Regained – Glen Huon
Paradise Regained is a tiny “shed” on the Glen Huon Road on the opposite side of the Huon River to the town. It sells excellent pastries on 3 days each week.
Let’s discuss how to get to where you will find these pastries (of course, you will need to be early enough to ensure that there is still some left). You can reach this roadside stall in two ways.
The first is to drive south through Huonville and then cross the bridge that spans the Huon River and immediately turn right and drive along the Glen Huon Road until you pass through the tiny township of Glen Huon and then reach 1018 and you will see the sign (as shown below) and the roadside stall.

Alternatively if you are driving from the Summer Kitchen Bakery in Ranelagh, turn right onto C619 then follow it whennit turns right and head for Judbury where you will cross the Huon River and head left towards Glen Huon and you will see the sign for Paradise Regained on the left side of the road.
Once you reach this haven in the country you will be able to select from the array of pastries and other treats that are available here. It is well-worth the trip from Hobart.
The list of available pastries varies from week to week, but you may be confronted with a choice between lemon curd cruffins, vanilla bean croissants, blueberry or blackberry danish, blackberry and apple pies and many, many more!
You can check on their Instagram site for more information here.

About a kilometre from Franklin you will see a sign to this venue. Turn off and head up the hill and drive for about 2.8 kilometres and you will be there.
