Little Bay Pâtisserie – Introduction
Bicheno is very lucky to have such an exciting place as this! We have only been twice, but we could tell that the care and attention that is put into every aspect of this delightful shop cum café shines through in both the quality of the snacks and the quality of the coffee.
Little Bay Pâtisserie makes Bicheno the place to stay in this region if you value your morning patisserie moment accompanied by a decent coffee. Hand made, very good, very small scale. Such a breath of fresh air.
We should add that Bicheno is a breathtakingly beautiful town that sits amongst bold granite outcrops running down to a dramatic coastline with sweeping sand beaches, a spectacular blowhole and a small harbour protected by a rocky outcrop which the locals call The Gulch.
There are also some very good accommodation options here, mainly holiday homes that are let out when the owners are not in residence.
Little Bay Pâtisserie – The Food
On our visits here we have thoroughly enjoyed the pastries accompanied by a couple of well-made espressos each which have provided a satisfying start to the day.
As can be seen from the following photos, the range is quite extensive for such a small operation and everything is made carefully and well.
As you can see, the pastries look very appealing and taste just as good. The coffee is also very good, supplied by a very good Tasmanian roaster.
We very much look forward to future visits.
