Turkish Tukka Sandy Bay
Turkish Tukka Sandy Bay has arrived after its relatively long run in Launceston where it has been a welcome part of the food scene there. It is informal, it has friendly staff and the food is very good.
The meats at Turkish Tukka Sandy Bay are chicken and lamb which are marinated overnight and then cooked over charcoal. You can order a plate or a wrap – we like the plate which consists of our chosen meat (usually lamb), some very tasty rice and a salad and sauce.

The wrap consists of a similar combination wrapped in flatbread. They also have falafel made with chickpeas and herbs for a vegetarian meal.
There are a number of free-standing tables inside, soem benches in the windows and further tables outside.
Turkish Tukka Sandy Bay is a pleasant place for a snack or a full meal. If you turn up at a busy time, however, you may have to wait a while for your meal as everything is prepared to order.
