Turkish Tukka – Introduction
Turkish Tukka is a welcome addition to the Launceston dining scene. It is informal, it has friendly staff and the food is very good.
The meats are chicken and lamb which are marinated overnight and then cooked over charcoal. You can order a plate or a wrap – we like the plate which consists of our chosen meat (usually lamb), some very tasty rice and a salad and sauce.
The wrap consists of a similar combination wrapped in flatbread. They also have falafel made with chickpeas and herbs for a vegetarian meal.
There is shared seating at the long table inside and some smaller tables outside.
Turkish Tukka is a pleasant place for a snack or a full meal. If you turn up at a busy time, however, you may have to wait a while for your meal as everything is prepared to order.
