Faba Gelateria – Excellent Ice Creams

Faba Gelateria – Introduction

Wall decoration at Faba Gelateria

Campbell Town is one of the few towns on the Midland Highway that hasn’t been bypassed. It is therefore a popular stopping place for a coffee or to peruse the interesting bookshop or for a wander to admire some of the colonial buildings.

But now there is another reason to stop here, namely the Faba Gelateria which is making ice creams using local produce that are very delicious, providing a sugar hit for weary drivers!

We can thoroughly recommend the quality of the products here and look forward to future visits.

Some of the flavours that we have seen during the short time they have been open include marionberry (this is a recent cross between two types of blackberry, created in the United States), yellow peach sorbetto, pistachio, fiore di latte mixed with locally grown rhubarb, choc-chip ice cream where the chocolate is from French maker Valrohna and finally the alluring and very Tasmanian flavour of leatherwood honey.

They are open for the summer and spring only so make sure you stop on or before the 3rd April 2022 which is the last day before their autumn and winter recess. They will resume service in November.

You will see their distinctive sign outside if it is open (see below):
