Salamanca Cream – Introduction
Salamanca Cream is a welcome addition to Hobart’s waterfront precinct, an area where quality food and beverage venues are difficult to find.
We are fortunate because this venue is only a short walk from our Salamanca office, so we can enjoy a morning coffee and pastry or afternoon ice cream here and get some exercise at the same time.
Salamanca Cream – Offerings
The offerings at Salamanca Cream revolve around coffee and ice cream supplemented by some very good pastries and loaves of bread that can be purchased for takeaway.
There is a good range of bread available including spelt, sourdough & multigrain options.
We should warn you that the coffee (which they roast) is very, very popular with the University staff in the large building opposite, so if you turn up at 10:30am expecting to grab a quick coffee you may have to wait for some time. We normally choose to arrive half and hour earlier or later for our espresso and croissant.
If you are after an ice cream, check out the blackboard that lists the ever changing options for the day.
The ice cream served here comes from the Huon Valley and the flavours change regularly.
There is seating both inside and outside so you can make yourself very comfortable here while enjoying their excellent products.
You can read more about their offerings here. This venue is also mentioned in our review of the best Hobart offerings:
